Every Woodland Roots item is handcrafted by us—often in small batches—using carefully chosen ingredients and time-honored methods. Nothing is mass-produced.
Do you use essential oils or fragrance oils?
Our skincare products are scented only with pure essential oils. Candles and home fragrance items use high-quality fragrance oils designed specifically for safe use in those products.
What inspires your brand?
Our products are inspired by woodland walks, foraging traditions, cozy cabins, and the belief that self-care should feel grounding, simple, and intentional.
Are your products vegan?
Some are, and some are not. Products containing beeswax or honey are not vegan. Each product listing clearly notes its ingredients—feel free to reach out if you’re unsure.
Are your products natural?
We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes—our products are never tested on animals.
Do you forage or grow any ingredients yourselves?
Yes! We love incorporating home-grown and responsibly foraged botanicals when possible. When we can’t source ingredients ourselves, we choose reputable suppliers that align with our values.
Are your products safe for children or during pregnancy?
Some essential oils are not recommended during pregnancy or for young children. If you have specific concerns, please contact us before purchasing.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Many of our products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind, but everyone’s skin is different. We always recommend doing a patch test before full use.
How long does it take to ship my order?
Because many items are made in small batches, orders typically ship within a few business days. During busy seasons or launches, processing times may be slightly longer.
Do you make medical or therapeutic claims?
No. Our products are designed to support self-care and well-being, but they are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition.
Do you offer local pickup or markets?
Yes! We frequently attend local markets and events. Follow us on social media for upcoming dates and locations.
What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of skincare, soap, bath, and aromatherapy products, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an item has been opened or used.
We can accept returns on unopened, unused items within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible, the product must be in its original packaging and in resaleable condition.
To start a return, email us at kayla@woodlandrootsohio.com with your order number and photos of the item. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, please email us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We are happy to offer a free replacement or store credit.
Cancellations
Orders may be canceled within 2 hours of purchase as long as they have not shipped or begun production.
